Kyle + Emily Engagement #knepptildeath
Emily is a long time friend & a photographer herself, so when she asked me to be her wedding photographer - I was SO tickled! & then I got to spend time with both Kyle & Emily together, & of course we can’t forget about mom {Barb}, & just knew - I was with the right people!
we started off their engagement session at lefty’s, one of their favorite local coffee shops, enjoyed some coffee for a few & they enjoyed each other while I was basically a {big} fly on the wall! it’s a small little shop, but the cutest little space & we got to get really creative in there!
but of course, that was just the beginning of our shoot together….
from there, we ventured around downtown Fairborn to some of their favorite little spots & I got to hear so many beautiful stories from their love story…….& of course the sun decided to run & hide behind the clouds as soon as we stepped outside!

nevertheless, we persisted…& we found the perfect little spot that perfectly tells another part of their story: do you think they’re Harry Potter fans? I know just how special it is to share something like that with your person & I also just know they’re going to love all the silly in between goofs I caught in between!
dandelions are kinda emily’s thang….so you know I was squealing about that mural for her!
we kept going throughout downtown Fairborn & paid tribute to all of the historic charm & our own childhood gems! I cannot wait to capture their magical day, I can’t wait to spend time with them & their families, capturing all of their love for each other & their combining families; I just love love & I am just so honored to be invited in celebrating theirs!!!!
because it means so much to me that you book me for such a momentous day, I love being able to gift my couples a cozy, romantic engagement session like these - they really do help us really get to know one another moreso than just at our meetings over yummy coffee; this gets you familiar in how I direct my clients, how certain shots or concepts may flow that you might want to try on your wedding day, it also gets us just super comfy with one another & really getting to know how our personalities vibe. it’s just a super special little thing that is just so beautiful & beneficial in so many ways, & not everyone prioritizes this on their wedding checklist, but it’s a little gift to you so you at least get that opportunity…
a custom photoshoot experience is just that; it’s an experience. & it can be a suuuuuuper awkward one, believe it or not! that experience with me, I like to think anyway, is fun, energetic, cozy, romantic, intimate, playful, & relaxed. writing that out just now has me wondering how in the world does that combination even make sense? buuuut, when you work with me, you just get it!
