how long is a typical session?

I photograph a lot of families with small children, because of this I have found that family sessions are usually the most successful kept within an hour, two if the little ones are really enjoying themselves & we still have good light. a child session is typically kept around 30 minutes because they do tend to get bored, even while exploring, pretty easily when the focus is all on them.

what if my kids act wild?

mom; do not fret. listen. I'm a mom first & I *get it*, I know exactly how you're feeling. my sessions are very light hearted & playful. we will plan a session that will reflect your family individually & plan for the kids to have fun & have the chance to be kids too!

will you be bringing props?

I do not typically photograph with props, unless we have a specifically styled session. if there are things you would like incorporate, please feel free to bring them. otherwise, just bring your smiling faces! your session will flow very naturally, leaving us plenty OF MAGIC by moments as they unfold, tender togetherness, touching & connecting. whether you're looking at me or at each other.

my husband hates photos! what can we do?

first, if he is completely protesting the idea, don't make him do it. we respect boundaries around here, but don't let yourself miss out on an opportunity to be photographed with your children either. these moments with our little ones are fleeting. if he is planning to join you, don't you worry. we will just keep reminding him that the session will be short & fun...& to not stress over the kids being wild!

what about me? I am a control-freak...

oh momma. this is me. I am totally *that mom*, ironically enough. I actually had a full blown anxiety attack leaving our last photoshoot we had done…but listen to what I'm going to tell you because I *promise you * that it will create a vibe that will be much more relaxed & fun if you aren't barking orders at your family all day. I know these photos mean the world to you & you want it to go perfectly, but let go of that need to control & put it on me! when we chat, I will coach you through this entire process to make this as stress free as possible for you & for the entire family.

how would you describe your style?

I'm an artist, because what I create doesn't fit into a mold & I kind of like that... I love being inspired by your own unique journey, letting things unfold the way they're meant to & telling stories with photography...using details, textures, movement, connection, emotion, moments as they come, families & littles for who they are, bonds for what they are...that's all just pure magic to me.

what all types of photoshoots & events do you photograph?

I know they all beat “you should have a niche!” into our brains in this industry…& while, there are definitely sessions that leave me more inspired than others, it’s not just one type of shoot that leaves me inspired! I love weddings, but I only take on a limited amount each year. I love working with small business owners; lifestyle headshots, content & branding sessions are some of my favorites! kids & families are an obvious answer. & boudoir is probably one you didn’t see coming… ;) just to name a few! just reach out; if i’m not the right fit, I won’t force my way to be - I will do us both a solid & refer you to someone who will nail your vision!
